Proverbs 7

So far, warnings against the 'strange' woman have been found in chapters 2, 5, 6, and now 7. Out of twenty seven verses in chapter seven, twenty three of them are devoted to the story of the man who was taken in by her and how he was destroyed because of it. I've noticed that, so far, when she is mentioned, it's not just a passing thought. Not just a verse or two, but over ten, with the exception of chapter two. Think this subject might be important? It'll be interesting to see how many more verses and chapters are devoted to this in the days to come.

"Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death" Prov. 7:24-27

Need we say more?

Conversely, if a wicked woman can bring a man to hell, what could a godly woman be capable of? We'll get to that later...

Fight the good fight,
